About Robert McCauley, O.D.

Dr. McCauley is a lifelong resident of the North Hills of Pittsburgh. He was born in West View next door to his future optometric mentor, Dr. Joseph Perka. After graduating from Perry High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, he attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. Returning to the North Hills, he joined the practice of Joseph Perka, OD, then on Center Avenue in West View. They enlarged their practice in 1984 with a branch office in Wexford, then moved their West View office to Perrysville in 1994. Dr. McCauley has been active in organizational Optometry. He was President of the Western Pennsylvania Optometric Society in 1988 and 1990, and then again in 2007 and 2008. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He chaired the Tri-state Conference on Reading and Vision for over ten years. He has been active with his church and several Mars Area School organizations. He is pleased to practice with his daughter Caitlin and daughter-in-law Lindsay. He and his college sweetheart are now proud grandparents.
